Dee is the owner of Palliser Printing since 2003 which moved her from Calgary to the Valley. She has been very involved in the community including being the Mayor of Radium Hot Springs from 2008-2014
Dee is passionate about working towards regional cooperation and feels we are all stronger if we work together. With her experience in the world of politics she is now able to bring a greater level of knowledge towards achieving these goals.
Dee now sits for the second time as President of the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce. She is impressed with the direction the Board has been taking in the last few years and wanted to be part of its future helping Business in the Valley and feels with her background she can offer her experience to the Board. To add to her busy schedule she is also one of three Marriage Commissioners in the Valley.
Andrea Tubbs, owner of Swansea Communications, has a breadth of experience in conference planning, marketing, communication and public relations. Her career has spanned a variety of industries from high tech to non profit, post secondary to tourism and hospitality.
Andrea takes a hands-on approach to her work with all clients and thrives on executing successful and measurable campaigns within her disciplines of practice.
In addition to being an active member of the business community through the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce, Andrea also sits on the Columbia Valley Airport Society board of directors.
Andrea is an IABC member, holds a Diploma in Public Relations from the University of Victoria and a Diploma in Business Administration from Capilano University.
Cris Leonard is the Managing Broker with Royal LePage Rockies West Realty and co-owner of Ozzie’s Amusements in Windermere.
Cris and his wife Katherine Locke have been visiting the Valley for over a decade and moved here permanently in 2017. In the past Cris has owned and operated multiple companies with very diverse business interests.
Accolades he has received include, being twice nominated as “New Westminster Business Person of the Year”, and being awarded the “Commercial Renovation Award” in New Westminster.
His volunteer experience includes being the current president of the Radium Hot Springs Rotary Club. His past experience includes, President of the North Delta Rotary Club, President of the New Westminster Chamber of Commerce, President of the Raymond Burr Performing Arts Society, board member of the Westminster Club, and board member of The Hyack Festival Association.
Cris is pleased to serve on the Chamber board as he sees this as a valuable resource for the local business and tourism community.
Nancy has a Bachelor of Commerce degree which led to a vast background in Marketing & Sales, specializing in Tourism, Event and Pharmaceutical marketing.
After 20+ years in the corporate environment Nancy recently established a small business – LuVino, a wine tasting events business. With a passion for wine and wine knowledge, Nancy successfully completed numerous educational wine courses, including WSET Level 3 (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) and turned her passion into a business.
Nancy has lived in the Columbia Valley for over 9 years and has participated on numerous tourism committees including Kootenay Rockies Tourism, CV Tourism Marketing Society, and the CV Tourism Committee.
As a Director and Treasurer on the CVCC Board she is pleased to play an active role with the Chamber and support the business community.
Rhiannon owns and operates Tutty Financial as a Financial Advisor with Sun Life Financial, Rhiannon considers herself as a financial coach for her clients: On their team, helping them put strategies in place to reach their goals. In her years as an advisor, Rhiannon has earned numerous awards including three time membership to Million Dollar Round Table, Health Advisor of the Year for the Kootenays, has been a recipient of CVCC Business Excellence Awards for both Professional Services and Community Impact as well as being numbered in the top Sun Life advisors within Western Canada. Previous to her time with Tutty Financial, she ran a successful bookkeeping business for 12 years.
Rhiannon is the proud mother of four, and along with her husband Colin have chosen to remain in Invermere as a base for their family, enjoying all the Valley has to offer, especially cycling in our amazing mountains.
Tutty Financial has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce for over 10 years, and believes that supporting local business is important to our ECO(nomic) SYSTEM. It is important to her to continue to support the Chamber so that they can continue to support our local businesses. As such, Rhiannon is currently 2nd Vice Chair, expecting to take on Chair in the years to come. Additional volunteering has been with the Columbia Valley Youth Soccer and also as a volunteer teacher of financial literacy within our local schools. In the past, she was also an active member of the school Parent Advisory Council.
Panorama Mountain Resort
Kara was raised between Caglary and Invermere, and has been a proud full- time resident of Invermere since graduating high school 12 years ago. She has been working as the Activities & Childcare Manager at Panorama resort for the previous 2 years, following numerous other roles in the recreation and tourism industry. She holds a double major in Outdoor Recreation, Parks and Tourism (specialization in Leadership), and Psychology from Lakehead University, and an MSc in Outdoor Education from the University of Edinburgh.
Kara is very excited to be a part of the chamber as a voice for the tourism industry in our beautiful valley. She is passionate about the environment and people here, and spends her free time skiing, horseback riding, camping, mountain biking and hiking with her fiance Luke.
Rainbow International Restoration
Colin is the owner/operator of Rainbow Restoration which serves the entire Kootenay region. This is a great fit for Colin as he is a long-term Kootenay local: Having been raised in the Cranbrook and Kimberley region, and previous to coming to Invermere over 5 years ago, he lived for almost two decades in Creston. Colin runs Rainbow Restoration with a focus on customer experience. Because a home emergency can be a one of the biggest tragedies someone experiences, he believes it is important that Colin’s team comes in with support, understanding, and from a client centric mentality, to help them through the process.
Before being involved in the restoration industry, Colin worked for Home Hardware both here in our Valley, as well as in the Creston valley, and has decades of working in the customer service industry. Colin is also very involved in soccer and has been his whole life. He currently referees across the region, and volunteers locally as a coach. He has been lucky to have the opportunity to not only coach his own stepsons, but it has been an amazing opportunity to become part of the local community through his time with Columbia Valley Youth Soccer.
Colin and his wife Rhiannon have plans to continue to raise their family here in Invermere. Having seen a lot of the Kootenays, he loves the lifestyle here in the Columbia Valley having started to take up cycling. And because he believes in being a part of the community, he has chosen to be a part of the Chamber of Commerce in order to be a part of the small business support network.
Richard Unger is the founder and principal of Ski Home Limited which began operations May 1, 2006 in Invermere. SkiHome is a builder of custom homes primarily serving the vacation home market in the Columbia Valley and Panorama Resort. The company has experienced steady growth in the market and currently has a full time hourly paid staff of twelve.
SkiHome has recently expanded their services to include land development.

Aspire Professional Corporation, CPA
Kyla is the Founder and Principal at Aspire Professional Corp, a CPA firm in Invermere, where she and her team provide technology-forward accounting, tax, and data management services to the Columbia Valley. Her experience includes accounting & finance roles in both public practice and industry, founding and growing two businesses as well as being an educator and not for profit leader.
Kyla grew up in rural northern British Columbia, completing double degrees in environmental science and commerce from the University of Alberta. She completed the Chartered Accountant designation in 2009. Kyla and her husband settled in the Columbia Valley in 2012 and welcomed their son in 2015. They can often be found around the valley or in the mountains skiing, snowshoeing, camping, biking and all the others things that make the Valley a wonderful place to call home.
Kyla is passionate about philanthropy and growing better businesses and communities and looks forward to learning and growing with the Chamber. She is also the Treasurer at the Columbia Valley Community Foundation and a CPA Canada Financial Literacy volunteer.
The Kanata Inns Invermere
Charlene has a long standing career in hotel – accommodations which started in Whistler BC in 1989. Charlene has continued to work in the hospitality field for over 30 years , reaching General Manager in Regina, Saskatchewan. Charlene & her family moved to Invermere May 2018. She is the General Manager of the Kanata Hotel located on the highway of Invermere. Charlene Rivard joined the Chamber in June 2018 on the tourism committee and has been on the Chamber director board since 2019 Charlene grew up in Saskatchewan but has always been drawn to BC and she absolutely loves the beauty, peacefulness which the valley gives us all.
Columbia Valley Community Foundation
Following a management career in Calgary, Caitlin moved with her husband and two daughters home to Invermere. She grew up in the Columbia Valley and has long family ties here. Passion about the community and development, Caitlin joined the Columbia Valley Community Foundation as the Executive Director. The Columbia Valley Community Foundation supports people, ideas, and activities in our communities through inspired philanthropy, making the connection between donors and non-profit organizations.
Joining the Chamber of Commerce Board was an easy decision for Caitlin given the forward-thinking approach and innovative ideas from the Board and Chamber team. As a do-er, she is excited to be a part of such an active organization.
Caitlin has her Bachelor of Business Administration, is a Certified Change Management Practitioner, and her Professional Recruiter designation.
Fairmont Hot Springs Resort
Sarah has worked in the hospitality industry for decades, wearing many hats over those years. She is a dedicated Human Resources professional and teacher. She and her husband moved to the Columbia Valley with their two children in 2019 from the Bow Valley where they had been for 19 years. Sarah is the Director of Employee Experience for Fairmont Hot Spring Resort and is also teaching with School District 6. She also serves a PR role in their family small business Azimuth Photo + Design. Over the years Sarah has served on several boards including most recently The Banff Public Library Board.
Sarah is passionate about people and making it ‘easy to do business’ for business owners while creating an exceptional experience for visitors. She is excited to join the Chamber of Commerce Board and continue living that passion.
Sarah has her Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Conversation, a Bachelor of Education, she is a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and an active member in the BC College of Teachers.
Kicking Horse Coffee Ltd
Amanda Sharko is born and raised in Invermere, and now enjoys raising her two children in the valley as well. On weekdays she works in Sales and Marketing for Kicking Horse Coffee and has been with the company for the last 8 years. Prior to that she was Front Desk Manager at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort and Panorama Resort.
On weekends and vacations Amanda and her family will be found predominantly outside; hiking, biking, camping, skiing or paddle boarding- finding any way to enjoy all the activities this little slice of paradise has to offer. Amanda also loves to bake!
Christine is the owner of Triptician – The Vacation Specialists and holds a Certified Travel Industry Executive Designation. Christine’s love of the Travel Industry continues after 30 years in the business. She previously operated a storefront agency and owned her own Independent Travel Business for 24 years in Ontario before moving to the Valley. Upon moving to Invermere in 2014, she held a position of the National Director of Sales and Professional Development for one of Canada’s Largest Independent Travel Agent Networks. Her role was focused on Sales and Recruitment growth nationwide. Christine led the Sales team and the 500 plus Independent Travel Agents across Canada. After 5 years of constant travel for business and having minimal time to enjoy the valley life, Christine decided to leave her corporate position and get back to what she loves most and created Triptician.
As a strong believer in supporting local business, being a volunteer and getting involved in the Community, Christine had joined the chamber last year as a member. When the opportunity came up to join the board, she was ecstatic. She is incredibly customer centric and dedicated to make a difference by bringing people together.
